Students can qualify for internal (lower) rates when a faculty member sponsors the project and agrees to serve as a project and budgeting mentor. Without a faculty mentor, students are billed at external rates (per R/PPS No. 3.06). Personal use by faculty or staff is always considered external usage.
Stage 1 — Request your course account
- First time user - Go to fom.engineering.txstate.edu and login with your TXST NetID
- Discipline: Select the option that most closely matches your field or intended use of the makerspace
- Supervisor: If your supervisor is not listed, select “Bobcat, Boko”
- No additional action is required in FOM
- Complete the following agreement and releases
- Ingram Hall Makerspace Participation Agreement (annual, expires Aug 31)
- Release of Liability, Indemnification and Assumption of the Risk (annual, expires Aug 31)
- Photograph Release and Indemnity (one time only)
- Complete the Personal Project Usage Request form. A few notes on who fills out what:
- Participant 2 is your faculty/staff mentor
- You'll need to verify your email each time a form requires your signature
- All parties must sign before we can begin internal processing
