The CREATE University Transportation Center is a Tier 1 University Transportation Center focusing on coastal multimodal transportation infrastructure.
TXST partners with four universities in coastal areas to form the Coastal REsearch And Transportation Education (CREATE) Center.
The Infrastructure Research Laboratory (IRL) will be the home of a state-of-the-art, collaborative learning, research, and training environment for students, faculty, and industry leaders. The facility will support the Ingram School of Engineering’s Civil Engineering program and other existing and future engineering programs. The IRL will provide a platform to carry out our vision to design and develop Technology-Enhanced Infrastructures. People working in the IRL will employ the latest applications and technologies related to sensors, the Internet of Things, networking, cloud computing, and data analytics to develop and test infrastructure components emphasizing large concrete structures.
