FM 78 West Salitrillo Creek is on an ever-expanding transportation system and requires realistic monetary solutions that not only provide TxDOT effective engineering solutions but provide the public the reliable and safe transportation passage. The project will focus on stabilizing the bridge foundation and creek bank. The application of flowable fill will be applied to the voids beneath the West Salitrillo creek bridge foundation. The installation of a declined concrete ramp will have the purpose of redirecting the water flow to prevent a rip curl from eroding away underneath the bridge foundation and re-creating voids. A willow brush mattress will be used to prevent erosion along the creek bank. The project will be completed by following TxDOT and FEMA standards.
