To help resolve housing instability issues within Hays County, our civil engineering team is tasked with designing an affordable housing development accommodating one hundred families of four. We aim to select a suitable plot of land and explore various housing alternatives to maximize affordability and sustainability while abiding by all relevant design codes and regulations. Additionally, different foundation design options will be investigated to enhance the structural integrity of our development. This project is part of a larger interdisciplinary effort in collaboration with an electrical engineering team for our sponsor, SATOP.
